This work on the Gypsy populations was created in 1998 under the Villa Médicis “Hors les Murs” bursary. The Gypsy families were photographed in front of their lodgings. In this way, an intimate relationship between the houses and their inhabitants is established; as if the fragility of the first inexorably reflects the instability of the second.
